What Happens to inventory in Suredone When Orders Are Cancelled on eBay Or Amazon?

EBay

-------

The following happens whether Order Paid Sync is enabled or disabled. We check for cancelled orders every 6 hours presently.

--If an order comes from eBay as "Cancelled" and exists in SureDone, we'll execute a full cancellation action, including replenishing stock.

--If an order comes from eBay as "Cancelled" and does not exist in SureDone, we will import the order into SureDone but will NOT increment your stock level.

Amazon
-----------
For Amazon, two settings work together to control inventory behavior on order cancellations:

  1. Restock Inventory Upon Order Cancellation — When enabled, cancelling an order will automatically return the item quantity back to inventory. (Recommended: on.) This setting must be enabled for cancelled orders to replenish stock.
  2. Import Pending Orders — When enabled, pending and unpaid orders will be imported from Amazon in addition to paid orders. (Recommended: off.) This setting needs to be turned on for the cancellation/restock behavior to work for orders that originated as pending orders — similar to how eBay handles it.

Note: If 'Import Pending Orders' is disabled, Amazon pending orders are never imported, so they cannot be cancelled and restocked in SureDone. Enable both settings together to get the same cancellation+restock behavior described for eBay above.
